Managing Director

 

As founder of Artzu, Nick has more than 10 years art consultancy experience gained in projects undertaken for both the corporate and public sector. He has particular expertise in leading creative projects and managing the art commissioning process.

 

Artzu has steadily grown to become one of the leading suppliers of contemporary art in the UK and Nick has been the main driving force. He has developed an expanding portfolio of professional artists with whom he has built an excellent working relationship.

 

Over the past 5 years Nick has successfully led on more than 20 large-scale commercial projects. Previous clients include Peel Holdings plc, Pannone Solicitors, Bang & Olufsen, First Gulf Bank and Emaar Properties.

 

 

Charles Blair

International Projects

 

With over 20 years international development project experience in many parts of the world including Europe, the Middle East, SE Asia and Australia, Charles has been at the forefront of Artzu’s expansion program overseas. This has included implementing market entry strategies in the Gulf and project planning with major clients on corporate and residential developments.

 

Charles has a wide range of contacts both within the international art market and with some of the world's foremost companies and developers.

 

 

Fiona Orde M.A.

Middle East Expert

 

Fiona searches for artists from the Middle East region and analyses their quality and suitability for Artzu. This knowledge and the ongoing communication between Fiona, the artists and the region’s galleries provide her with a unique qualification to advise on Middle East Contemporary Art. 

 

Fiona’s strength is in identifying artistic quality from a region where the image is suddenly a powerful commodity.  The best work is often intended to challenge the viewer and to identify the best Fiona searches the studios of the established, the young, and the new, even graffiti artists on the street so that her understanding of the Middle East art scene is comprehensive.

 

 

Stephen Dalton

Technical Expert

 

After pursuing a successful career for over 15 years as a bespoke jeweller and goldsmith, Stephen also now works  with an innovative range of materials and processes at the leading-edge of his field.

He has advised on the technical aspects of sculpture and art installations both here and abroad including specialist shipping arrangements and on-site assembly.

 

He has been able to help clients to display artwork to its best advantage and maximum impact. Stephen is able to oversee the whole artistic process from initial enquiry to opening ceremony.
