Working with a leading international architectural design practice, Artzu was invited to develop the Desert Bloom concept for a high end shopping mall in central Doha, Qatar. The concept was  inspired by nature and organic forms including water droplets, sand waves and desert plants.

One key solution was a huge, central atrium, suspended sculptural lighting feature incorporating LED lights, glass and natural fabrics. This specially commissioned artwork spans an area of 19m with a drop in excess of 4m, and provides the ‘wow’ factor for the development.

Another key area was the West Court for which Artzu developed a suspended, hand blown glass sculptural feature and we selected a magnificent chandelier for the food court.
