A draughtsman as much as she is a sculptor, Peace firstly works with clay as though she's sketching - it is a direct way to translate her initial ideas into something 3D. These clay sculptures are then cast into bronze, turning these fluid forms into sturdy and permanent statement pieces. This process of working with clay is vital to her work - it ensures that the initial mark making is immediate and intuitive. Although Peace's works appear fluid and airy, they are made of long lasting, solid materials, making them a worthwhile investment.
